Chia and Flax combine with collagen to create a powerhouse that balances estrogen and enhances skin. Gluten free, dairy free, paleo, and keto. Being beautiful can taste so good!
Chia seeds are a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Minerals they provide include: calcium, potassium, sodium, manganese, and phosphorus. Add to that being a rich source of antioxidants, plus one of the greatest sources of fiber, you can see why this little seed is such a powerhouse!
Flax seeds are also rich in the healthy fats omega-3, and contain fiber as well. Flax promotes hormonal balance and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and shows possibility in reducing breast cancer tumors . This seed is better eaten ground in order to gain the full benefit, and it easier to find sprouted as well.
Both these seeds and hemp are all lower in lectins, a chemical that reduces your body's ability to uptake nutrients, but both flax and chia can be purchased sprouted, thus minimizing their lectins even more. Plus, they will be soaking in milk to help reduce the lectins.
Chia and flax provide fiber that help to clear our waste by improving gut motility and helping speed elimination. This removes toxins before they have a chance to be reabsorbed into the body and keeps our bowels moving smoothly, while keeping you feeling fuller longer as well due to the time required to digest.
Flax contains the higher amount of lignans that feed our microbes to create a
healthy gut , which keeps our immune system strong as well, and our skin clearer.
Collagen is well known for its ability to promote glowing vibrant skin. Giving our skin elasticity and helping it appear more youthful and prevent fine lines, loose skin, and dryness. It is literally the glue that holds our body together. Collagen naturally declines as we age, but we need to be sure we source collagen supplements carefully. There are 5 different types of collagen that play different roles in our body. I like a supplement that supplies all 5.
